Most of our products have an age rating of 5+, which is around the age where a child would likely have the dexterity to gently punch out a shape from a sturdy piece of card stock on their own. So, depending upon the child, we’ve seen kids younger than 5 use and enjoy our crafts—and, of course, teachers and parents and grandparents and childcare professionals all love our crafts, too!

We ONLY use beautiful, colorful, high-quality US-made card stock that is responsibly sourced and sustainably manufactured. Many of our paper colors contain up to 30% recycled content. Our paper is acid-free, fade-resistant, and colored all the way through for 2-sided versatility—there are no white edges. Our letters and shapes are designed to last and hold their color.

We are proud to say that all our paper, packaging and materials are US-made, and we manufacture our products exclusively in the United States at our factory in Sparks, Maryland.

We use a zero-waste manufacturing process, meaning that we bring in raw material (paper), cut it and package it without generating any waste. Our products are also designed to be compact, organized, minimally packaged—and we engineer our shapes and letters so that we efficiently use as much of each sheet of paper as possible so that there is very little to dispose of once the product has been used.

We only use paper that is manufactured in North America and FSC Certified—responsibly sourced and made from wood that came from a certified managed forest. Our bold colored papers are Green Seal certified—manufactured using processes that reduce the risk of negative environmental impact and made with chemicals that are safer for human health and the environment. Our brightly colored sheets are biodegradable, and half of our colors contain a minimum of at least 30% post-consumer fiber.

Let’s address the packaging first: all of our products are wrapped in a responsibly made protective film that is 100% recyclable. The printed cover sheet and back sheet on the products are also recyclable.

Regarding the shape remnants, colored card stock is not recyclable, but it is biodegradable. However at FreshCut Crafts, we don’t throw those scraps in the trash – we like to put our shape remnants to good use in lots of creative ways! Here are a few fun ideas.

Yes we will (sometimes). Send us a note at to let us know what you’re looking for. A common request we receive is for a larger quantity of a specific shape in a specific color—for example, 1000 blue butterflies—and we’re happy to make your special-order shapes and charge you by the sheet. We’ve also produced custom designs in unique colors, “bare crafts” that were delivered without packaging, gift boxes of curated crafts, and mega-packs for larger camp programs and events. It really depends on the desired product and the quantity you’re looking for.

We charge a flat-rate of $5.00 shipping on all U.S. orders up to $29.99, and FREE shipping on all orders $30+. Orders ship within 24 hours of receipt Monday through Friday, and orders received over the weekend will ship on Monday. We use UPS Ground shipping from Maryland, and shipping times average 2–3 days. We do not currently ship international orders, but we may choose to do so in the future. 

Most orders placed during the weekday ship within 24 hours. When your order ships out, you will receive an email with a tracking number. Simply click the link in your email for the latest tracking information. 

Shipping services such as UPS sometimes incorrectly post that an item was delivered before it actually delivers. If it has been more than 72 hours and your item hasn’t arrived, please contact us.

Our products can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of original purchase, provided they are unopened and in “like-new” condition. Shipping on returns is at the buyer’s expense. In the return package, please include a copy of the order receipt email, your email address, and your phone number.

We currently do not offer exchanges for products. However, you can easily return the item for a refund and place a new order for the correct item(s). Follow our return process to send back the item you wish to exchange. You’ll receive a refund once we process your return. After initiating your return, simply visit our website to place a new order for the correct item(s).

If you receive damaged items, please contact us immediately and we will work with you to coordinate the return shipment, and a new shipment of an identical replacement item(s) that will be sent to you at no additional cost. If an item is no longer available, we will do our best to replace it with a similar item.

We hope it never happens, but if for some reason you’re unhappy with our crafts, please give us an opportunity to make it right by sending us a note below.
